Our featured guest for Burg Comics Con 2014 is Mr. Jeremy Haun. Jeremy Haun is the current artist on Batwoman. He has recently wrapped up a run on Top Cow’s Darkness Series. He is a part of the Bad Karma Creative group, whose Bad Karma Volume One debuted at NYCC 2013, thanks to Kickstarter funding. Over the past decade plus, along with wearing calluses on his fingers doing work for DC, Marvel, Image, and others, he has created and written several projects. Some you might know are graphic novel Narcoleptic Sunday, Leading Man, and The Beauty, winner of Top Cow’s Pilot Season.
Jeremy resides in a crumbling mansion in Joplin, Missouri with his wife and two superheroes-in-training. Examples of Mr. Haun’s work can be viewed at https://www.jeremyhaun.com/. A listing of Mr. Haun’s work in comics may be viewed on Comic Book DB. Mr. Haun is taking pre-orders for sketches and can be reached at jeremyhaunart@gmail.com. Sketches at the con will be 8×11 single figure head and shoulders inked and colored with copic markers for $40. Be advised, Mr. Haun will only have time to complete 4 to 6 sketches during the show, so a pre-order is highly recommended. |

Nathan Bonner is an independent comic artist and publisher whose work includes the space fantasy series Indavo and detective noir series Shamus Stone. Nathan has been drawing robots and spaceships for most of his life. He’s completely mad about space, spaceship design and robots of all sizes. Indavo is the physical representation of this obsession. Apart from plotting the downfall of the Universes, Film Noir is another interest which can be seen expressed in the series Shamus Stone. An amateur animator, several of his Indavo videos can be found on YouTube. He also enjoys ham. | |

The Nerdtastic Artistry of Wil Woods and Tyrine Carver. Art prints from Musetap Studios will be available for sale at the con.
Mommy, where does really awesome art come from? Well you see honey, a few years ago, by that strange and completely unlikely twist of fate we will call “the internet”, a directionless college student from San Diego and a handsome photographer from Metropolis got together and started drawing like mad. Thus, Musetap was born. They are made of the nerd Wil and his even nerdier girlfriend Tyrine pouring their obsession with art and pop culture onto paper every chance they get. Tyrine is the Californian. She likes sushi, super computers, beds that are as soft as bowling balls, and when people send her money. |

Brian K. Morris has written just about everything. His articles and interviews have appeared in publications such as BACK ISSUE Magazine, Hogan’s Alley, Knights of the Dinner Table, WHOtopia, and many others too obscure to mention. He’s also contributed to The Krypton Companion and the fiction anthology, With Great Power. His first e-book release, Bloodshot: The Coldest Warrior, was the #1 Hot New Release in Kindle Worlds’ Action/Adventure line for October, 2013. His newest novel, Santastein, was released through his Freelance Words imprint to much acclaim and he recently premiered the paperback edition at the 2014 Superman Celebration in Metropolis, Illinois. Brian will have copies of Santastein for sale and he’d be happy to personalize them for free. This fall will see the release of Skyman Vs. The Master of Steam, a revival of the 1940’s comic book character, from Ace Comics. In addition to being a full-time author/publisher and consultant, Brian is also an actor, having participated in numerous community theater productions such as Jekyll & Hyde, The Music Man, State Fair, Beauty and the Beast, Romantic Fever and My Fair Lady as well as many of the Opening and Closing Skits for the Superman Celebration. Brian lives in downstate Illinois with his wife Cookie, no children, no pets, and too many comic books. |
